ISLAND VIEW LODGE
Island View Lodge is situated on a sheltered backwater
overlooking Kalimbeza Island, the perfect place to capture the spirit of
the Caprivi with it’s natural beauty, magnificent sunsets and
spectacular riverine scenery. A true Zambezi Experience. Accomodation at the Lodge is in comfortable, rustic
thatch roofed bungalows each with it’s own self-contained kitchen and
freezing facilities. Bungalows have 24hr, 220v electricity, plug points
and overhead fans. All units are serviced daily. Visitors have a choice
of bed and breakfast, full board, semi-fullboard or self-catering. The
campsite overlooks a wide expanse of the river and can facilitate a
maximum of 18 campers in five campsites. Relax with a refreshing sundowner on the cruise boat
whilst enjoying the spectacular riverine scenery. In close proximity to
three other countries, excursions can be arranged to Chobe Game Reserve,
Victoria Falls and Livingstone. Guests can partake in any of the many
activities on offer at these venues and will be accompanied by a guide
from the Lodge. |

KALIZO LODGE
Relax and unwind at Kalizo Lodge, the tranquil fishing
and birdwatcher's paradise in a beautiful African environment on the
lush banks of the mighty Zambezi River. Surrounded by the Primeval
Wilderness of the narrow and often in the past, controversial Caprivi
Strip, in North Eastern Namibia, the lodge is situated only 40km east of
Katima Mulilo, the hub of the Caprivi and only a short hop away from the
world famous Victoria Falls. The lush savannah area of East Caprivi is
bordered by the Kwando, Linyanti, Chobe and the Zambezi River and is a
region of swamps and flood plains. Wildlife in the Caprivi has recovered
from years of poaching, and its superb conservation areas may in the
future rival Etosha. Kalizo Lodge offers seven quaint, comfortable, rustic,
thatched two-bed en-suite chalets at the waters edge, afford peace and
tranquility and uninterrupted views over a wide expanse of the river
with its magnificent sunsets. Four self-catering units, comprising of
two and three bedrooms with bathroom and kitchennette, with basic
cutlery, crockery, two-plate stove, fridge, towels and linen. |
