BOOKING PROCEDURES
All bookings
for African Reservations are handled by the Central Reservations
Office.
Bookings by
phone, fax or e-mail are accepted or online using the quick booking
enquiry form.
In response to reservation requests a quotation / provisional
reservation document will be returned, detailing facilities,
services and or products booked and payment required.
Reservations
are only confirmed on receipt of the required payment.
Once payment
has been received and affirmed, clients will be issued with
confirmation vouchers signalling full payment.
Failure to pay respective deposits by the specified date results in
the booking enquiry being terminated.
Quotation /
provisional reservation documents are not confirmation of actual
bookings or availability.
Most rates
are listed in South African Rand (ZAR), except where the use of
foreign currencies have been used due to extreme currency exchange
fluctuations between the local currency and major currencies.
Enquiries may
be chosen to display one of the following major currencies in use by
African Reservations: South African Rand, Euro, United States
Dollar, Pound or Namibian Dollar.
All rates are
subject to confirmation at the time of booking. Rates given in
quotations include the various countries applicable government tax.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
Bookings
made six (6) weeks before date of intended use: Full payment
required*.
Bookings
made before six (6) weeks before date of intended use: 50 %
deposit required*. Remainder amount payable six (6) weeks before
date of intended use.
Purchasing
amounts of less then R500.00 (ZAR) will incur a R100.00 (ZAR)
service fee.
*All bookings
not specifying any terms of payment will be treated as above.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
Bank transfer or counter deposit to the relevant account as detailed
below.
Payment by Credit Card (Master and VISA only) and only
possible for non-residents
of South Africa. Resident South Africans only on request.
Delivery to Central Reservations office in Cape Town,
South Africa, branch office in
Windhoek, Namibia or Luanda, Angola by appointment only.
CANCELLATIONS
Any applications for refunds / cancellations / modifications are required in
writing and will be penalised as follows*:
>>> 31 -
45 days before arrival 50% of total booking value
>>> 16 - 30 days before arrival 75% of total booking value
>>>
0 - 15 days before arrival 100% of total booking value
>>> 100 %
of total booking value for non-arrival.
All refunds and modifications are subject to a
minimum15% of the total booking amount handling fee or as
negotiated.
*Penalties might be less then
actually indicated or totally absolved with only African
Reservations maintaining the right to lessen actual percentage of
penalty or absolve it totally where and as it deems fair.
