8. PAYMENT

All rates are inclusive of VAT at 14% in South African Rand (ZAR) where applicable and or the applicable government taxes of various countries in question. Payment in approved currency will be accepted at the rate of exchange of the bankers of Shakalas Tours & Travel CC at the time of the receipt of payment. Any shortfall resulting in exchange fluctuations will be for the account of the customer as well as any banking fees. Full payment must be made six (6) weeks prior to arrival and can be made by electronic transfer, credit card (VISA and MASTERCARD only) for non-residents of South Africa or cash. Purchasing amounts of less then R500.00 (ZAR) will incur a R100.00 (ZAR) service fee. A possible deposit as set out by African Reservations is due once the booking has been confirmed in writing.

9. GENERAL CANCELLATION POLICY

Any cancellation of bookings made 31 - 45 days prior to arrival will result in a 50% cancellation fee of the total cost price. Any cancellation of bookings made between 30 to 16 days prior to arrival will result in a 75% cancellation fee of the total cost. Any cancellation of bookings made between 15 to 0 days prior to arrival will result in a 100% cancellation fee of the total cost. 100% of the total cost for any non-arrival. As cancellation policies of the various product and service suppliers vary in regard to cancellation fees and the above serves as an estimate, the onus rest's on the customer to request and inform themselves as to  the corresponding  cancellation policies.
  
10. PRIVACY

Should this website collect private information from users, such information shall not be disclosed to any third party unless agreed upon between the user and Shakalas Tours & Travel CC or through due legal process. Users agree that Shakalas Tours & Travel CC may, from time to time communicate with users.

11. SECURITY

Any person that delivers or attempts to deliver any damaging code to this website or attempts to gain unauthorised access to any page on this web site shall be prosecuted and civil damages shall be claimed in the event that Shakalas Tours & Travel CC suffers any damage or loss.

12. TERM AND TERMINATION

This agreement shall commence when the user registers on the africanreservations.com website and continues indefinitely until terminated by Shakalas Tours & Travel CC. Shakalas Tours & Travel CC may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.

13. INSURANCE

Shakalas Tours & Travel CC will not be liable for lack of travel insurance taken out by the client in terms of national law or international law, or in the case of the client not taking out travel insurance in the case of no legal requirements demanding travel insurance.

14. DISPUTES

In the event of any dispute of any nature whatsoever arising between the parties on any matter provided for in, or arising out of this agreement, such dispute shall be resolved through a mediation and arbitration process agreed to by the parties concerned.

15. GOVERNING LAW

This site is controlled and operated from the Republic of South Africa and therefore governed by South African law. Shakalas Tours & Travel CC is a close corporation incorporated in the Republic of South Africa.
