Westville

Westville lies in the Durban West Tourism Route. Just a breath away from central Durban the expansive evergreen Western Inland Route is enjoyed by tourists. Westville's central location makes it a practical and affordable accommodation option and hospitality node for commuters based in Durban. All KwaZulu's regional attractions, including The Drakensberg (Barrier of Spears) Battlefields Tours, Game Reserves and Zululand are within a 2-3 hour drive of Westville, and day trips are commonplace with visitors.

Westville is steeped in local history, having been founded in the mid-19th century by German Farmers, and a large Anglo-German Historical Route exists with numerous Churches, Museums and Gravesites depicting the early settlement struggles of the early Colonial Days. Westville is also central to several main townships, namely Cato Manor, Claremont and Chesterville, and their respective shebeen and tavern tours. Westville has several shopping centres, restaurants, tourist stores, gyms, public pools and entertainment halls as well as one of the best accommodation networks in the region.
