Sun City Cabanas

The refreshing, laid back ambience of the Cabanas at Sun City is the immediate impression one receives upon welcome. The most relaxed and casual of all the hotels at Sun City, the Cabanas offer informal yet comfortable accommodation.

The reception area is spacious with a balconied foyer overlooking the Palm Terrace. Attractive planters placed around the tiled floor, and the lightly textured walls topped with a ceiling frieze of tropical foliage and flowers, all contribute to an immediate holiday feeling.

In fact, when he’s not too busy exploring what the other pool decks have to offer, guests can spot Figaro, Sun City’s resident Blue Crane, strutting his stuff by the Grande Pool Bar.

Sun City Cabanas offer three dining choices– the chefs excel at creating imaginative theme style buffets at the Palm Terrace and everyday a full breakfast buffet and dinner buffet is offered. Light and scrumptious daytime fare is served at the Grande Pool Bar.

Sun City has even provided for the youngest members of your family – Kamp Kwena, a specially designed entertainment paradise for kids of all ages. A fully supervised programme of activities and facilities at Kwena’s Castle, right on the lawns of the Cabanas: adventure playground, animal farmyard and fully equipped play centre.

A short stroll across the luscious green lawns of the Cabanas brings you to a World of Fun in the Sun – Waterworld. There’s jet-skiing, windsurfing, water-skiing and for those who want a leisurely booze-cruise, there’s a barge to take you around the lake at Sundowner time.

All the 380 rooms now offer modern up market décor and a retro design with a European feel. The rooms have been restyled in muted hues of glorious pinks and aqua greens. The white cotton linen duvets enhance the fresh feel of the rooms and allow for a more casual style.

Guests can choose between standard and luxury Cabanas rooms, all of which are fully air-conditioned and equipped with quality flat screen TV’s with selected DSTV channels, tea and coffee making facilities and electronic safes and telephones. A major bonus for families is the mini refrigerator, which is ideal for storing baby bottles, milk and beverages. Standard Cabanas offer a shower-en-suite, whilst their luxury counterparts feature a full bathroom.

There are a number of facilities and activities available to all Sun City Resort residents, irrespective of which hotel you staying at. From 18 holes on one of our two golf courses to a day of fun at the Valley of Waves or a relaxing spa treatment and an evening safari – there is something for everyone! The Valley of Waves is the central feature of Sun City. It is one of the most advanced water parks in the world, dominated by the Roaring Lagoon, a wave pool with a palm-fringed beach. All Resort residents enter the park free of charge by presenting their resident cards. Day visitors pay an entrance fee to the park.
