Belvidere Manor is situated on the shores of the Knysna lagoon, the largest estuary in the Southern hemisphere. This historic estate, established in 1834, offers the traveller new-world comforts in a beautiful garden setting.

Private whitewashed cottages offer one, two or three en-suite bedrooms, a comfortable lounge with satellite TV and open fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and a wide verandah with views across the lagoon. Knysna oysters, freshly caught seafood and venison dishes are served in the yellowwood dining-rooms of Caroline's at Belvidere, or a more informal evening can be enjoyed in The Bell Tavern. Guests can relax around the swimming-pool or enjoy superb beaches, pristine forests and the quaint Knysna town, all within a short drive of the estate.
