Arathusa Safari Lodge is located in Mpumalanga, South Africa, within the northern sector of the coveted Sabi Sand Reserve, adjacent to the world-renowned Kruger National Park. private game safaris. The lodge overlooks a large waterhole where guests are often treated to 24-hour entertainment from between five and 20 resident hippos, and myriad sightings of other game that comes to drink! While on safari, visitors can expect to see a large variety of wildlife – including the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant).
The open-plan design and natural building materials allow it to blend harmoniously with the African bush surrounds. The main living area is intended for comfort. Whether quietly reflecting on the view, reading a good book, or enjoying conversation with friends or fellow safari goers, the warmth and charm of the lodge environment is the foundation of the Arathusa safari experience. The infinity swimming pool overlooks the waterhole, and is the perfect spot for wildlife viewing while cooling off on a sweltering African summer’s afternoon.
Arathusa Safari Lodge has 9 suites with private verandas overlooking the waterhole, for full appreciation of Arathusa’s signature feature. There are also 4 bush-facing suites which are remotely located, away from the lodge. Each of the bush-facing suites has its own plunge pool and veranda, and affords guests with the advantage of privacy within the untamed wilderness.
