Barbarossa Tented Camp on Farm Donkerhuk has three large luxury En-suite safari tents, each with their own little private patio and placed with ample of space between the units. An open air field kitchen and dining area and a setting under Camelthorn trees in the floodplain of a dry riverbed, give this camp an “Out of Africa” ambience.

Situated on the C28 gravel road between Windhoek and Swakopmund, just 30 km west of the famous Boshua Pass en-route to the Namib Naukluft National Park, this camp is perfect for small groups that want to overnight in the outdoors, but still want the comfort of a real bed and own bathroom.

The communal field kitchen has a BBQ area, fire pit, gas stove and oven, wash up area, tables and chairs, electric lighting and is equipped with cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils for six guests (freshly prepared meals can be requested by prior booking).

The “Leopard Canyon” (see Canyon Dinner) and surrounding granite mountains invite you to hiking or rock climbing and afternoon strolls. Leisurely self-drive 4×4 farm drives or mountain biking, will add a bonus to your Namibia trip.

Andi's Campsite:  The campsite is nestled under large Camelthorn trees in a dry riverbed in a secluded valley, and can only be reached by 4×4, due to a sandy road stretch leading there. It has private ablution as well as a wash-up area.
