Camp Silwane is an exciting destination located in a stunning, private conservation area adjacent to Hwange National Park, one of Zimbabwe's last true wilderness areas. Silwane Conservation Area is a pioneering project transforming a former hunting ground into a protected, photographic safari area. The area is beautiful, featuring three large permanent waterholes and seasonal water pans that attract abundant wildlife and birdlife.

The camp provides three accommodation options: fully catered all-inclusive, self-catering, and camping, catering to various guest preferences. At Silwane Tented Camp, those on the all-inclusive package can choose between decked deluxe units under thatch or spacious safari tents. Meals and sundowners are served on a raised teak dining platform overlooking a watering hole, while a splash pool near the dining area offers a refreshing escape on hot summer days. The self-catering option offers safari tents with access to a shared communal kitchen.

Bush camping with ablutions is available at Acacia Grove, a pristine natural site offering an unobtrusive experience in the park’s only private camping area in the south. Set under Camel Thorn trees, the camp overlooks a busy wildlife watering hole and expansive grasslands. A separate camping site, Hamerkop, offers a more secluded experience, overlooking its own waterhole for those seeking privacy.

The Somadada platform offers a unique, exclusive experience sleeping under the stars by a private waterhole. Guests are provided with a comfortable bed under a mosquito net atop the platform for an unforgettable stay. Each night in the African bush brings new experiences, with possible sightings of elephant herds or the distant roars of lions. There is always some activity at Somadada!

No fences separate Silwane Conservation Area from Hwange National Park, and none surround the camps, allowing wildlife to roam freely. Visitors can explore the conservancy on a Silwane Game Drive or visit Hwange National Park, just 7 km away.
