Geisterschlucht Cabin is located 2 km west of Aus and 7 km away from the Desert Horse Inn reception. There is a touch of magic and intrigue at this rustic 'Ghost Canyon' cabin.
The Geisterschlucht Cabin consists of two family rooms (2 x ¾ beds and 1 x bunk bed in each room) sharing a bathroom, kitchen and lounge area. The open plan kitchen and lounge area is equipped with a fridge/ gas burner and an inside braai area with cutlery, crockery, pots and pans provided.
There is also an outside braai area to enjoy pleasant evenings around the fire. Solar panels that charge batteries provide 220 volt light and outlets to charge devices (but please note no hair dryer and electric kettle can be used). The bathroom has 2 organic toilets and 2 showers.
Guests are more than welcome at the Desert Horse Inn's restaurant for breakfast or dinner, but this is subject to availability and should be pre-booked to avoid disappointment. Alternatively, barbecue packs can be ordered at the Inn's reception.
Two hiking trails run through the picturesque valley and the habitat of the wild horses is just 20 km away.
During some periods of the year, the cabin may only be accessible with a 4x4. Please enquire when making your reservation.
Rates for groups with less than eight guests on request - Minimum base rate is the 3 people rate.
