Welcome to the KaMsholo Reserve, the Southern Gateway to Eswatini. Acquired with the support of the James Marshal Foundation, KaMsholo Reserve holds a special place in conservationist Ted Reilly's heart, as he spent formative years camping and learning about nature in this area, formerly known as Nisela.
The name "KaMsholo" honours the rangers of Big Game Parks, symbolising the legacy of Ted Reilly during the early years of conservation in Eswatini. Beyond being a friendly pitstop for travellers at Laviumisa Border, offering excellent restaurant facilities and clean restrooms, KaMsholo is a 700ha nature reserve rich in wildlife, featuring the dominant Umbrella Tree (Acacia tortillis) and surprising species such as giraffe, reedbuck, waterbuck, and ostrich.
Activities range from Guided Game Walks and Game Drives to Pony Rides and Horse Riding, with overnight guests also enjoying self-drive options within the park. Day Visitors are welcome to picnic, dine at the restaurant, or join guided activities, making KaMsholo an inviting destination for all.
Accommodation wise, Tinsele Rest Camp offers a serene overnight escape just 2 kilometres from the restaurant, nestled at the base of the Lebombo Mountains. Ideal for families, small groups, nature enthusiasts, and birdwatchers alike, it provides a tranquil setting for relaxation and exploration.
