Kalahari Game Lodge arises over the last dunes towards the eastern border of Namibia, 18 km from the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park; it lights up the early evening sky with the Boma fire already inviting the guests to its warmth. Kalahari Game Lodge conforms aesthetically well to the surrounding landscape as if part of the Kalahari itself. Similarly, the furnishings, decor, and trimmings are indicative of a true Kalahari oasis.
Chalets are equipped with a small kitchenette, as well as an En-suite bathroom. Each chalet also has a lovely patio overlooking the Auob river bed, where you can enjoy your morning coffee as the sun rises over the Kalahari dunes. Selected chalets are equipped with a braai area outside that provides you with the options of enjoying your dinner under the stars or you could just sit around your own campfire relaxing in the cooler evening air. The chalets are furnished with double or three-quarter twin beds, covered in crisp white linen bedding, rooms are open and spacious, providing you with the wonderful comforts of luxury living in this desolate and remote area. The design of the chalets and lodge allows for the natural circulation of air to maintain comfortable temperatures in the hot summers and creates an inviting atmosphere in the chalets.
The restaurant at Kalahari Game Lodge offers sumptuous breakfasts that are included in the accommodation price. A light lunch is also on offer for day travellers and dinner can be booked at the welcoming restaurant.
Kalahari Lion Tracking: The lion tracking option is an exhilarating game driving experience focused on tracking and following the Kalahari lions at the lodge.
Kalahari Game Lodge Campsite: For the more adventurous and overland travellers - Kalahari Game Lodge has six exclusive campsites available, located in the picturesque Auob river bed and shaded by age old camelthorn trees. Campsites are located approximately 100 meters apart and each is equipped with its own private ablution facility where solar energy is used for lighting and water heating. Campsites are cleaned on a daily basis to ensure maximum comfort.
Each campsite can accommodate up to four people and arrangements can be made for larger groups travelling together. Please note there are no 220V electricity outlets available at the campsites. Enquire with management to help with charging of batteries or connecting fridges at the central lodge.
