- Khama Rhino Tracking
The Khama Rhino Sanctuary (KRS), founded in 1992, is a community-driven wildlife project dedicated to protecting the endangered rhinoceros, restoring an area once rich in wildlife to its natural state, and supporting the local community in Botswana through tourism and sustainable resource use. Spanning around 8,585 hectares of Kalahari Sandveld, the sanctuary offers an ideal habitat for both white and black rhinos, along with over 30 other animal species and more than 230 bird species.
In this experience, you’ll track rhinos by following their trails and uncovering insights about the wild. This fascinating activity takes place in the mornings and is led by our skilled guides. The aim is not only to locate rhinos but also to understand some survival techniques and behaviours these animals have developed over time.
