Mowani Campsite is nestled between the Ugab and Huab rivers in southern Damaraland, a pristine wilderness area. This world boasts vast stretches of stunning desert landscapes, dotted with clusters of granite boulders that form unique viewpoints and hideouts. The camp is conveniently located near the Twyfelfontein World Heritage Site.
The campsite itself is thoughtfully laid out, spacious, and nestled among large boulders. It offers seven sites of varying sizes, each providing a high level of privacy.
Every campsite is equipped with a private ablution facility (shower, basin, and toilet), a kitchen wash-up area, a standing braai/BBQ, and a shaded area with a seating bench.
Mowani also features Camp Isa, home to four well-appointed glamping tents nestled in the heart of Damaraland. Each tent is designed for a peaceful, self-catering stay in a natural setting, combining comfort with simplicity to suit travellers looking for an authentic and grounded experience.
Please note that Mowani Mountain Camp facilities are not accessible to campsite guests. However, depending on availability and upon arrival, campsite guests can book meals and nature drives at Mowani Mountain Camp.
Campsite guests should bring their own food. Wood and ice are available for purchase.
