Ohange Namibia Lodge is designed to blend into the tranquillity and harmony of raw Namibian nature. Whether you while away the time watching nature's television from the restaurant and patio, or prefer to soak up the sun on the pool terrace with a refreshing drink in hand, Ohange will rejuvenate your soul and tantalise your senses. Their guests of honour are invited to a home-cooked meal beneath the twinkling stars while enjoying the abundant wildlife at the waterhole. Let the warmth of the blazing camp fire surround you, while Karla and Justus share their experiences and vast knowledge of Namibia.
Scattered on a leafy hillside close to the main Ohange building lies a group of 10 stone-built, thatched African Style Mountain Huts, well spaced for privacy, but still within close range of the central facilities.
Guests can enjoy a direct view of the waterhole and the distant mountains with abundant game and an extraordinary bird life. Each hut is equipped with comfortable twin beds and an En-suite shower room with open plan toilet and washbasin. Plaster rendered walls topped by thatched roofs provide cool during the heat of the day. Ohange is connected to mains electricity supply so has reliable power to operate the ceiling fan and the kettle for making tea and coffee in the rooms. The front of each room is built to incorporate a shaded veranda with seating for viewing wildlife. The footpaths that wind up to the bungalows are illuminated at night offering safety and a different perspective on the trees above.
A short distance away from the main complex is the superb swimming pool which stands perched on a steep hill, surrounded by an attractive patio with a small thatched relaxation area, sharing with the pool uninterrupted views of the Otavi Mountains. Whether you are an ardent birder or a trigger happy cameraman, Ohange ensures a memorable vacation with a number of activities to cater for all walks of life, families, a romantic break-away, the young and the wise.
