- Okavango Delta Mokoro Trip
The Okavango Delta Mokoro trip offers guests the exploration of the famed Okavango Delta by Mokoro, a traditional dugout canoe. The trip starts around 06:00 in the morning from Maun, where the boat transfer is done to the Mokoro boat station. There guests will meet their Mokoro poler.
Gliding past the islands that dot the delta and the surrounding channels for a unique experience that sets guests amongst nature. The trip will lead through the Okavango Delta where it neighbours the Moremi Game Reserve. In this scenic and wildlife rich area guests will be able to view various game drawn to the live-giving waters.
The guide then take the guests on a walk on one of the island formations. On return to the Mokoros, a picnic lunch will be served - this must be pre-booked at the lodge. After lunch, the guide and the guests will return to the boat station and the guests will return to the lodge.
Depending on water levels, the transfer from the lodge to the boat station takes 45 minutes to 1.5 hours.
Time: 06:00 (Summer - 01 October - 31 March) and 06:30 (Winter - 01 April - 30 September).
