Ongongo Waterfall Campsite is located in a small canyon just 6 km from Warmquelle, a small settlement situated at the site of a spring. Warmquelle is located 90 km north of Palmwag on the C43.
Ongongo Waterfall Campsite offers ten luxury campsites, with private ablution facilities, hot showers and a shaded area with a wash basin. There is a braai place, but own braai grid must be taken along. Maximum 8 persons and 2 vehicles are allowed per site. The waterfall and crystal clear water can be enjoyed all year round.
The use of 4x4 vehicles when visiting the campsite is highly recommended. If accessing the campsite with 2x4 vehicles, caution should be taken as the road is rocky. 2x4 drivers are not advised to take their vehicles into the gorge, which is 4x4 access only. Vehicles can be left in a parking area at the top and equipment carried down.
