Otjiwa Safari Lodge is set amidst the unspoiled beauty of Namibia’s oldest game farm, and is the ultimate holiday destination for those in search of an authentic African experience that meets the very best in international tourism standards. True Namibian hospitality and personal service go without saying. The ranch is a veritable treasure trove of African wildlife and boasts a variety of some 25 game species that freely roam its 12,000 ha expanse of bushveld. Home to rich bird life, among which is the majestic African fish eagle.
Otjiwa Safari Lodge offers 5 modern two bed chalets, reflecting indigenous African style with amazing panoramic views. All rooms are privately situated with a beautiful view, and have an En-suite bathroom, mini-bar and air-conditioning. In addition there are 12 elegant double rooms each with their own En-suite bathroom and 7 self-catering chalets with two bedrooms. The lodge also offers a large, isolated modern house surrounded by bush, and featuring an illuminated water-hole which attracts game passing by at night - sometimes even a thirsty rhino! The house has five bedrooms which can sleep six to 16 people and has an open-plan kitchen, a comfortable braai (barbecue) area and swimming pool - suitable for a large group or a family.
Here is truly a place where tranquility and adventure meet as the Otjiwa experience offers romantic sundowners, walking trails, game drives, bird-watching, a vulture hotel and, upon special request, rhino tracking.
For visitors who wish to explore the surrounds, Otjiwa’s central location provides its guests with the perfect base from which day trips can be undertaken to the famous Etosha National Park, the Waterberg Plateau Nature Park, a cheetah conservation sanctuary, dinosaur tracks (also known as ‘spoor’) and, of course, the Namibian capital, Windhoek.
