The Sendelingsdrif Rest Camp is built in the style of an old mining camp and offers its guests ten chalets that provide the convenience of an air conditioner, a fridge and a two plate electric stove.
Each chalet has a front porch with amazing views of the Orange River. Guest also have the opportunity to take a dip in the swimming pool of the camp.
Sendelingsdrif is the entry point to the Richtersveld side of the park as well as a border post that leads to the Namibian side of the park. A pontoon (floating temporary bridge) offers an unusual and convenient way of crossing the Orange River that separates the two countries. The pontoon can carry a maximum of 6 tonnes and runs from 8:00 to 16:15 daily, if the weather conditions permit it. It is necessary to phone ahead to find out if it is operational for crossing.
Sendelingsdrif Campsite: The nearby camping site offers basic facilities and is enclosed. There are no power points at the campsite.
