Zebra River Lodge is an old original farmhouse, situated in 12 500 hectares of dramatic scenery, deep in the Tsaris Mountains of southern Namibia.
The lodge was built with stones from the region as well as home produced bricks and its walls are plastered. Zebra River Lodge has 13 double or triple En-suite rooms.
Zebra River Lodge is well known for its cuisine. Take home memories of homemade bread and delicious, farm-style comfort food complemented by an outstanding selection of South African wines. Experience summer dinners together under the cool veranda or nestle up to the warm fireplace in winter. Coffee, tea, water and home-made cookies or cake are found in the dining room as well. The cristal-clear and refreshing water at Zebra River Lodge is derived from underground natural reservoirs and can be consumed without concern.
The lodge invites you to relax under an azure-blue sky and to feast your senses on the tranquil surroundings where you can listen to the silence of nature. Zebra River Lodge and it's canyon is a heaven for geologists, archaeologists and palaeontologists, hikers and birders, as well as for those who just want peace and quiet.
A paradise for nature lovers, Zebra River Lodge offers hiking over endless plateaus and into deep canyons to discover an abundance of birds and antelopes or see the mountain zebras keeping watch over their territory.
Zebra River Campsite: The lodge offers 4 campsites in the beautiful scenery of the Tsaris mountains with shared ablution. Each campsite has a shade net, a barbeque area and a water tap. Maximum 4 persons per campsite.
