Kongola is a village and the district capital of the Kongola Constituency in Caprivi Strip. It is situated on the national road B8. Activities in the area include game drives, boat cruises, guided nature walks, bird watching tours and fishing.
Bwabwata National Park which is noted for its huge herds of elephants, herds of several hundred elephants are not uncommon is located to the south of Kongola. The park has a great variety of animals including four of the “Big Five”. The Kwando offers excellent opportunities for catching the desirable Tiger game fish and other species such as Bream, Nembwe, Squeaker, Barbel, etc. Boat hire is available at certain lodges as well as fishing gear and fishing licenses.
